The PV Mounting Roll Forming Machine is a fully automatic, high-efficiency cold roll forming equipment specially designed for manufacturing core components of solar PV mounting systems, including mounting rails, brackets, purlins, and supporting profiles. As a key production equipment in the global renewable energy industry, it adopts advanced servo control, precision progressive roll forming, and on-line punching/hole-drilling technology to process high-quality metal coils (hot-dip galvanized steel, aluminum alloy, stainless steel) into high-strength, corrosion-resistant, and dimensionally accurate PV mounting components, which are widely used in roof-mounted, ground-mounted, floating, and tracking PV projects worldwide.

Core Components of Our PV Mounting Roll Forming Machine

重型液压开卷系统: Built for large-size metal coils used in PV mounting component production, this system is equipped with a hydraulic expansion uncoiler with a load capacity of 3-10 tons, supporting coil widths ranging from 100-500mm and material thickness of 1.0-3.0mm — covering the common thickness range of PV mounting components (rails, brackets) in global markets. It features automatic hydraulic deviation correction, pressure holding, and anti-slip feeding rollers, paired with a reinforced feeding guide bridge to prevent material wrinkling, scratching, or misalignment during high-speed feeding. It is fully compatible with all common anti-corrosion metal coils for PV mounting manufacturing, including hot-dip galvanized steel, aluminum alloy, and stainless steel, ensuring smooth and stable feeding for long-term high-intensity production runs, similar to the stable feeding systems used in solar component production lines.

Precision Leveling & Servo Feeding Unit: Equipped with 9-15 groups of high-precision leveling rollers, this unit effectively eliminates curling stress and surface unevenness of raw metal strips, guaranteeing the material is perfectly flat before entering the forming station — a key factor to ensure the straightness and load-bearing capacity of finished PV mounting components. It supports adjustable leveling intensity for different material thicknesses and hardness, especially for high-strength steel used in heavy-duty PV brackets. The servo-driven precision feeding system, similar to the high-precision servo control used in silicon wafer inserters, ensures accurate feeding length and constant speed, matching the high-speed forming and punching process without slipping or position deviation, and ensuring consistent dimension and structure of each PV mounting component.

On-Line Flying Punching/Hole-Drilling Unit: Punching and hole-drilling are core steps in PV mounting component production (for connection holes, mounting holes), and our machine is equipped with an advanced servo-driven on-line flying punching system that realizes synchronous punching during continuous forming without stopping production. The punch and die set are made of Cr12MoV or Cr12 alloy steel, processed via precision CNC machining and integral quenching, with a hardness of HRC 60-65, ensuring wear resistance and long service life. It can punch round holes, square holes, and slotted holes with uniform size and spacing, with punching accuracy within ±0.1mm, and the punching position, hole size, and spacing can be flexibly set via the PLC touch screen to meet the connection requirements of different PV mounting types (roof-mounted, ground-mounted, tracking systems). This design ensures that the pre-punched holes on mounting rails and brackets are accurately positioned, facilitating quick on-site assembly of PV systems.

Multi-Type PV Mounting Component Forming Main Unit: As the core of the entire machine, the forming unit adopts a rigid thick-walled steel frame with overall stress relief treatment, composed of 12-28 groups of precision forming roller stations — the number of stations can be adjusted according to the complexity of the PV mounting component profile (such as C-type rails, U-type brackets, SIGMA-type profiles). The forming rollers are crafted from high-grade 45# hardened steel or GCr15 bearing steel, processed via precision CNC machining, integral quenching and tempering, and hard chrome plating, with a hardness of HRC 58-62, delivering excellent wear resistance and a service life of over 800,000 meters. Driven by a high-power servo motor and precision gearbox transmission, the rollers are specially designed to form various PV mounting components in one pass, with quick switching between types by adjusting parameters or replacing partial roller modules — reducing mold change time from 4 hours to 30 minutes, greatly improving production flexibility. This flexibility allows manufacturers to produce components for both fixed and tracking PV, adapting to the growing demand for tracking systems that can increase energy production by 15-20% compared with fixed.

Edge Trimming & Reinforcement Rib Forming System: The edge quality and reinforcement structure are critical to the load-bearing capacity and safety of PV mounting components. Our machine is equipped with a precision edge trimming and reinforcement rib forming unit, which strictly controls the edge flatness and ensures smooth, burr-free edges, while forming integral reinforcement ribs on the component surface to enhance structural strength. The C-type and U-type rails produced by our machine have excellent bending stiffness, significantly reducing stress concentration risks, which is essential for supporting PV panels in harsh outdoor environments. The trimming and rib forming speed is synchronized with the production line, ensuring no impact on production efficiency, similar to the high-efficiency processing of solar component production equipment.

High-Precision Hydraulic Cutting System: To match the high-efficiency forming and punching speed, our machine adopts advanced servo-controlled hydraulic cutting technology, enabling non-stop fixed-length cutting during continuous production. The cutting blades are made of heat-treated high-strength alloy steel, ensuring smooth, burr-free cutting edges and no component deformation. Cutting accuracy is controlled within ±0.3mm, and the cutting length can be freely adjusted between 1-12 meters via the PLC touch screen, adapting to standard PV mounting component lengths and customized project requirements for global PV projects. This precision ensures that the cut components can be directly used for assembly without additional processing, reducing production time and costs.

自动卸料和堆垛机制: Designed for PV mounting components of different sizes and types, this unit features an inclined soft-contact discharge rack and pneumatic stacking device with rubber pads, avoiding surface scratches and edge damage to the finished components. It automatically arranges and stacks finished PV mounting components neatly, reducing manual handling labor and product damage, while protecting the anti-corrosion coating integrity and overall product appearance — a key advantage for export-oriented manufacturers. The stacking height is adjustable, adapting to different storage and transportation needs, and the stacked components are easy to pack and ship, which is crucial for large-scale export orders.

智能 PLC 控制系统: The full production line is controlled by a renowned international brand PLC (Siemens/Mitsubishi/Delta) with a user-friendly large touch screen operation panel, similar to the high-end control systems used in solar layer presses and silicon wafer inserters, supporting multi-language switching including English, Spanish, Arabic, French, Russian, and Portuguese. It realizes full-process automatic control, with functions such as production counting, fault self-diagnosis, emergency stop, parameter memory, PV mounting component type/size adjustment, and production speed regulation. The system stores multiple sets of processing parameters for different component models, enabling quick switching between products, and is simple to operate, requiring only 1-2 workers to monitor. Additionally, it can be equipped with an IoT module to upload production data to the cloud, helping enterprises realize digital management of the production process, similar to the intelligent monitoring of modern PV production lines.
