A Step-by-Step Explanation
Our high-precision CZ steel forming machine adopts a fully automated continuous production process, which can be divided into the following six key steps, ensuring efficient and precise production of C/Z purlins:
Step 1: Uncoiling & Feeding The production process starts with uncoiling raw materials. The raw materials are usually galvanized steel coils or cold-rolled steel coils with a thickness of 1.0-3.0mm and a width of 300-800mm. The machine is equipped with a hydraulic uncoiler with a maximum load capacity of 10-15 tons. The hydraulic system can automatically expand and contract the mandrel to ensure stable uncoiling of the steel coil without loosening or deviation. The uncoiled steel sheet is guided by the guide roller and sent to the feeding system, which is driven by a frequency conversion motor to realize stepless speed regulation (5-30m/min), ensuring synchronization with the forming speed.


Step 2: Leveling & Trimming (Optional) For steel coils with slight curvature or uneven edges, the optional leveling and trimming device can be used. The leveling device uses multiple sets of precision leveling rollers to eliminate internal stress and make the steel sheet flat. The trimming device can accurately trim the edges of the steel sheet to ensure the width consistency of the raw materials, laying a solid foundation for subsequent precision forming.

Step 3: Multi-Pass Progressive Forming This is the core link of purlin production. The flattened steel sheet enters the forming system, which consists of 20-28 sets of sequentially arranged forming rollers. Each set of rollers has a specific profile designed according to the progressive forming process of C/Z purlins. From the initial flat steel sheet to the final C/Z profile, the steel sheet undergoes gradual bending, flanging, and shaping through each set of rollers. The forming pressure and roller gap of each pass are precisely controlled by the PLC system, ensuring accurate purlin profiles, uniform cross-sections, and no wrinkles or deformations.

Step 4: Punching (Optional) For purlins that need to be connected with other components, the optional hydraulic punching device can be used to punch holes (such as bolt holes) at preset positions. The punching position and hole diameter can be precisely set through the PLC system, with a punching accuracy of ±0.5mm, meeting the assembly requirements of steel structures.

Step 5: Precision Cutting After the steel sheet is formed into a continuous C/Z purlin profile, it is sent to the cutting system. The operator sets the required purlin length through the touch screen, and the PLC system automatically measures the length of the continuous profile. When the length reaches the set value, the high-speed hydraulic cutting knife acts quickly to complete the cutting. The cutting knife is made of high-quality Cr12MoV steel, which is wear-resistant and sharp, ensuring a flat and burr-free cutting section with a length error of ±2mm.

Step 6: Stacking & Collection The cut finished purlins are conveyed to the stacking platform by the conveying roller. The optional automatic stacking device can automatically count and stack the purlins according to the set quantity (such as 50 pieces/stack). The stacking process is gentle and stable, avoiding collision and damage to the purlins. The stacked purlins can be directly packaged and stored, greatly improving the efficiency of subsequent logistics links.
