It handles heavy metal coils, realizes hydraulic mandrel expansion, automatic coil loading, tension control and synchronized unwinding. ZTRFM 7T hydraulic decoiler is widely used for PPGI, galvanized steel, cold rolled steel and aluminum coils, helping your forming line run continuously, reduce labor risk and improve overall line stability.
What Is a 7 Ton Hydraulic Decoiler?
Different from light manual or electric decoilers, the 7 ton hydraulic decoiler adopts full hydraulic expansion and driving structure. The four-jaw mandrel expands hydraulically to lock the coil inner bore firmly. Equipped with a coil loading car, workers can finish coil loading safely without heavy lifting. It matches loop sensor and brake system to keep stable strip tension, avoid coil scattering, scratching and material slack during high-speed feeding.
It is a core auxiliary machine of the whole metal forming production line. Stable decoiling directly affects the profile straightness, surface quality and yield rate of the final products, such as roof panels, rolling shutter slats, CZ purlins, guardrails, welded pipes and shelf profiles.

Hydraulic Expansion Four-Jaw Mandrel
The four-segment mandrel is driven by hydraulic cylinder, supporting adjustable inner diameter range. Once expanded, it holds the coil tightly without slipping. After production, it shrinks quickly for easy coil unloading. The mandrel surface is wear-resistant treated to prevent scratching the inner wall of galvanized and color-coated coils.
Standard Coil Loading Car
The matched hydraulic coil car moves along tracks, lifts and sends the coil to the mandrel accurately. Loading heavy 7-ton coils by crane plus coil car greatly reduces safety accidents and shortens coil change time. It is a must-have configuration for long-time continuous production workshops.
Adjustable Tension & Hold-Down Arm
Mechanical hold-down arm presses on the outer coil layer to prevent loose coil spring-back. The hydraulic brake provides adjustable back tension. With photoelectric loop sensor, the decoiler automatically follows the running speed of the main forming machine, speeding up or slowing down synchronously. No manual speed adjustment is needed during normal production.
Heavy Welded Stress-Relieved Frame
The main frame uses thick steel plate and rectangular tube welding, and goes through stress relief annealing treatment. It can bear 7 tons static load and long-term impact load without deformation. Heavy-duty self-aligning bearings reduce rotation resistance and noise, suitable for 24-hour shift operation.
Independent Hydraulic Power Pack
The hydraulic station adopts famous brand hydraulic components, with oil cooling and filtering device. Stable oil pressure ensures smooth expansion, car lifting and rotation action. It avoids pressure fluctuation under long-time working and extends the service life of seals and cylinders.
Simple Electrical Control & Safety Protection
Independent control cabinet with push-button operation. It includes emergency stop, overload protection, limit switch for coil car travel. Optional linkage control can connect the decoiler with your roll forming machine, realizing one-line centralized operation. English control panel and wiring diagram are provided for overseas customers.
Working Process of 7 Ton Hydraulic Decoiler
Coil Loading: The coil is placed on the hydraulic coil car by overhead crane.
Positioning: The coil car moves along the track and sends the coil to align with the mandrel.
Hydraulic Expansion: The four-jaw mandrel expands to grip the coil inner diameter securely.
Coil Car Reset: The loading car drops and returns to the waiting position.
Hold Down: The pressing arm falls to hold the outer circle of the coil.
Synchronized Uncoiling: The decoiler rotates and releases the strip. The loop sensor sends signal to match the speed of the forming host.
Production Finished: Mandrel shrinks, residual coil can be unloaded by the coil car.
