Technical Analysis: Precision Control Logic of C-shaped Steel Forming
The key to C-section steel forming lies in “continuous gradient + dimensional consistency”, with its open cross-section characteristics demanding stricter stress control during the forming process. Our forming machine employs a core technology system of “intelligent pre-bending + multi-pass calibration” to digitally manage the entire process of converting steel strips into high-precision C-section steel, ensuring that every finished product’s dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties meet international standards.

Error source control is achieved during the raw material processing stage: The servo-driven uncoiler paired with a six-stage leveling system can reliably process steel strips ranging from 80-500mm in width and 0.8-10mm in thickness, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy. High-frequency pulse treatment eliminates internal material stress, while the laser centering device ensures feed deviation remains within ±0.05mm, effectively resolving cross-sectional distortion caused by material misalignment in traditional equipment. The core forming stage employs a “20-pass progressive cold rolling process” with self-developed variable curvature rolls, evenly distributing metal deformation across passes. This achieves a verticality error of ≤0.2° between C-shaped steel flanges and webs, with cross-sectional dimensional consistency 60% higher than conventional equipment.


The precision finishing process delivers exceptional quality: The online laser diameter gauge continuously monitors critical dimensions like C-beam height and flange width, maintaining height tolerance within ±0.15mm and flange thickness within ±0.1mm—far surpassing the GB/T 6725-2017 national standard. A servo-powered flying saw then performs precise 3-15m length cuts with smooth, burr-free edges and verticality error ≤0.3°, enabling direct assembly without secondary grinding. The Siemens PLC-based production line, equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen, automates parameter settings, production monitoring, and fault alarms, requiring only one operator for daily operations.


Full-scenario adaptation: from building purlins to automobile components
To address the diverse needs of global industries, our C-section steel forming facility has established a flexible adaptation system featuring “broad specifications, comprehensive materials, and rapid model changes.” Through parameterized adjustments to roll pressure and clearance, we can produce C-sections with heights ranging from 50 to 400mm. Equipped with quick-change die sets, we can flexibly manufacture customized products such as perforated purlin C-sections, inner-flanged C-sections, and automotive-specific C-sections. The model change time is reduced to under 30 minutes, significantly outperforming the industry average of 1.5 hours.

The equipment’s material compatibility meets global stringent requirements: whether it’s Q235/Q355 ordinary carbon steel, 304/316L stainless steel, weathering steel, or automotive high-strength steel, the system optimizes forming parameters through intelligent temperature and pressure control. In an Indonesian steel structure plant project, our custom-made typhoon-resistant C-beam forming line produced purlins with a bending strength of 280MPa, successfully withstanding a Category 12 typhoon. For a European automotive parts manufacturer, our precision C-beam production line achieved dimensional tolerances of ±0.1mm for chassis components.

When faults occur, technical teams can debug parameters directly via remote desktop, avoiding the lengthy downtime faced by overseas clients. The cloud platform also automatically generates production reports and energy consumption analyses, enabling customers to achieve refined management.
